Functioning

The dirty liquid is delivered into the dredged tank inside which is placed a drum filter. After a first setting the liquid goes through the filtering stainless steel net and once is cleaned flows into the drum from where is pumped back into circulation. The drum immersion into the liquid allows to reach a high delivery head and consequently higher flow rates. The dirty particles accumulate onto the filter medium building up an additional layer of high quality that improves its filtration degree. The solid particles that built up clog the filter causing the decreasing of the liquid level inside the drum. When the set maximum level is reached, the floating switch starts off the filter cleaning by the drum rotation and the backwashing high pressure liquid flowing through nozzles. At the same time the scraping chain advances and discharges the sludges into the dirty tank. The cleaning stage does not interrupt the filtration process.
